Circles: A Love Story

Speaking of Google shorts... have you seen the commercials for Google+ that just started on Thanksgiving? Here is my favorite one so far. They were made under the direction of my boss, working with my colleagues. It's for my product, but isn't my handiwork. I hope you are checking out Google+. It's getting better and better and more incredible every day.

I have way too much time and watch way too much TV. I'm interested in what you're watching. My new system alows me to record 4 shows at once - I watch the shows the next day zipping thru the commercials.

Flashforward Anyone?

Just wondering if anyone else watched the series premier of this show. It has a lot of actors that I really enjoy, and the plot sounded good when I was reading about it earlier this year. 

I just finished watching it (I DVR), and thought it was really well done. The pilot had to smash a lot of stuff into the first hour in order to set up the rest of the series, but it still made you interested in the characters, invested in the plot, and curious about what was coming next. 

I'm just excited to have found a new show that has actual writing!

Am I the only one who really didn't (!) like this season's premier?

I told Rick he's on his own for watching it from here on out; I just don't think shows that dark and violent are entertaining. Too bad, too, 'cause it started out fun.

Set almost 500 years in the future, this short-lived but much-loved TV series follows the adventures of the ragtag crew (Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk and others) of the transport spaceship Serenity. No job is too small, too dirty or too close to the line of illegality for the crew to tackle to remain fed and fueled. But when a passenger is wanted by the ruling Alliance regime, the Firefly must hide out the dangerous fringes of space.

Melody and I just finished watching this 14 episode series on Netflix.  We loved it and wished it had not been canceled.  Worth watching while you wait for 24 and Heroes.

Loving SYTYCD!

Wasn't the finale great! Every one of the four finalists seems like a wonderful person as well as a fabulous dancer.

Who do you think will win? Twitch seems the most popular, but I sure like Joshua.

Seemed like the judges were harsh on Courtney.

Did you like the Mia Michaels last number? It didn't really work for me. The Russian piece was great, but I wish the guys had been wearing snug pants instead of big bloomers. And what was up with that silly girls number. Gee that was dumb!

Church info about David Archuleta

While I was in the beauty shop last week I read an interesting story about the American Idol tour. I don't remember what magazine it was in, maybe People. One thing that kind of bothered me was a comment that David A's father is accompanying the tour, since David is only 17. There were no further details, so maybe he's not acting badly.

Today, while I was reading the Church magazine The New Era, I came across an article about David that gave a little background into his life at school in church. It's a sweet portrait. Read it HERE, though without photos.

Dance Fans

I was browsing around on the So You Think You Can Dance site to get information about ticket sales and came across the discussion boards.

There's a "petition for better camera work" that's very well written. It voices the frustrations I've felt when it seems the camera crew is more interested in being edgy than in making sure we can see the whole dance.

To add your name to the petition, you have to sign up, get a user name and password and give your email so they can send a confirmation and verify your ID. I may not bother to vote each week, but I did add my two cents to the petition topic and invite you to, also.

Speaking of invitations -- Molly and I will go to the tour again this year: Sacramento's ARCO arena October 2. Anyone want to join us?

American Idol Finale -- And the Winner is ???

Did you agree with the judges that tonight's match was a knockout by Archuleta?

I concede that he has a beautiful voice, but everything he sings sounds the same. I'm still a Cook fan. And the proof is in the pudding; I've downloaded several of his singles, but none of his rival's.

Anyone watch last night's episode of House? It was pretty amazing; House turned out to be a decent human being for once.
